It's an understandable conclusion that act4ward is about acting - that's indeed true - that's one component of the work certainly and because act4ward draws from all my work there will be a lot of acting evident. 

But the act in the title does not stand for acting alone, it can also stand for taking action, becoming active and involved in activity.

Drama and performance is a great way to bring someone out of their shell - but many - particularly  those with special needs find the whole idea of going to a weekend drama class or taking an active part in school drama their idea of Hell. 

Act4ward is aimed at children from 5 up and through to those in their late teens early twenties.

It gives them the grounding to build up confidence and range to seek further advancement.

It's intention to to provide an informal approach to "having your picture taken" or making a video.

Everyone who takes part does so for their personal reasons, - some want to perform professionally, others just want to have a go and see what happens.

Sometimes it's to build up confidence taking into account the special needs involved.

Whatever the reason it's set to be as informal as possible - no large confusing studio or crowds.

The days agenda is personal to the person taking part.

Dependant on age and personal wishes the days can be one to one or with parents attending.

Child protection states that a child is someone up to 18, and should be accompanied by a parent/guardian or agreed parental representative. 

A child's best interests and protection is an integral part of William David work and great care is taken to ensure this at all times.

Naturally I have enhanced DBS status and a solid good reputation for this work.
